El sendero comienza en la Senda de Tío Elías, a la que se accede fácilmente desde el Puente del Centro Excursionista Eldense. Continúa dirección Oeste por el barranco evidente y profundo por el que se accede a la Cumbre de Bolón a través de la Vía Crucis.
