TRAIL TECHNICIANS
A trail does not obtain its approval just by waymarking a path. An approved trail is a sports facility and, as such, it must meet a series of requirements established in the "GR®, PR®, and SL® Trail Signage Guide" (Manual de Señalización de Senderos GR®, PR® y SL®). A FEDME Trail Technician is the professional suited for the correct and proper interpretation of the Guide, as well as similar documents and the Approval Protocols of the regional federations.
FEDME Trail Technicians are responsible for the following:
- Participation in the approval process of the Federation.
- Collaboration with the federations' Trails Committees.
- Drafting the project for a trail or a network of trails.
- Carrying out the project for a trail or a network of trails..
- Advising individuals or entities on trails or trail networks.
If your entity needs a Trail Technician for drafting or executing a trail project or needs advice on it, you can contact the Trails and Refuges Committee through our contact form to request information.
