La derivación comienza con un ascenso por un sendero rocoso y estrecho que añade algo de dificultad. A medida que se avanza el paisaje se amplía, permitiendo disfrutar de vistas impresionantes de las crestas y vaguadas de la sierra de las Águilas hasta la cumbre, a 554 metros de altitud.
