Desde el límite provincial con Teruel,cerca de la aldea de la Monzona, el GR nos acerca hasta Los Cantos. Subimos hasta la parte alta de la pequeña población. Desde un portal de una vivienda accedemos a un pequeño sendero (PR-CV 126) que cruza el barranco. El sendero llega al pinar y comienza a ascender. Cruza un cortafuegos y más adelante inicia el descenso por un escarpe vertical que pasa por la fuente del Almajal y desciende entre campos aterrazados. Tomamos la carretera a la derecha, pero en 70 m cogemos una senda a la izquierda hasta la entrada a la población de Puebla de Arenoso por la calle Santa Bárbara.
