The SL-CV 118 trail, which for the most part runs through the protected landscape of l'Ombria del Benicadell, offers magnificent panoramic views of the Vall d'Albaida and the Benicadell mountain range. This itinerary includes interesting architectural remains such as the castle of Carrícola (10th to 12th century) and constructions related to the obsolete snow trade, such as the ice houses of La Solana, Atzeneta and Diego, of great ethnographic and scenic value.

Route description (only available in Spanish)

Atravesamos el parque y llegaremos a la calle Papa Juan XXIII que tomaremos a la derecha hasta llegar a la calle Font Freda donde giramos a la derecha nuevamente y tomaremos el primer camino que nos sale a nuestra izquierda. Este es el camino de la Nevera que nos llevará primero a la nevera de Atzeneta y posteriormente al acceso a la nevera de la Solana (a 40 metros). Continuamos por este camino y al llegar a una pista la seguiremos a la izquierda y nos llevará al mirador de la vall d´Albaida y más adelante al acceso en el castell de Carrícola (a 140 metros). Continuando por esta pista encontraremos el área recreativa de la fuente del Melero donde abandonamos la pista y seguimos por una senda a la derecha que sube haciendo lazadas. Más adelante llegaremos a otra pista que tomaremos a la derecha para enseguida tomar un camino a la izquierda. Aquí llegaremos al enlace con el PR-CV 222 que se une al SL-CV 118 hasta el final de su itinerario. Por este camino llegaremos al acceso a la nevera de Joaquim y más adelante a la nevera de Diego.
